The Rep’s educational programs offer a range of services to enhance and enrich the playgoer’s experience. Through workshops, study guides, post-performance discussions, affordable tickets, special school matinees and teacher conferences, the Rep offers rewarding opportunities for learning many lessons of history, culture, communication, literature, creativity and life.

Affordable Tickets
Terrific savings for your group are offered by the Rep.

  • Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at specially reduced prices.
  • Students can attend school matinees for only $12.
  • The Rep provides one complimentary chaperone ticket per 10 student tickets purchased.

Special Student Matinees
Special 10:30 am weekday matinees are offered for all productions. Tickets are only $12 per student and seats sell quickly. Please consult the play listings on the Special Student Matinees page for dates and call to reserve your seats. ($12 per student, one free chaperone per 10 students.)

Study Guides
Our excellent study guides give your group the opportunity to study the Rep’s productions in detail. Explore a play’s themes, characters and playwright, and learn other background information about the play. (Each study guide is only $1.)

Theatre Workshops
If your group is interested in a more detailed discussion of the theatrical creative process – acting technique, technical production or another special topic – a workshop can be designed just for you. These workshops can be scheduled in conjunction with your group’s trip to the Rep – either at the Rep or at your location preceding your visit. Interactive sessions with professional actors and other theatre artists stimulate students and prepare your group to attend the theatre. To schedule a workshop. ($3 per student, $150 minimum* – price includes study guides; $5 per adult, $150 minimum.)

Post Performance Discussions
Immediately following selected performances, actors, designers, and company members from the Rep will discuss with your group the concept of the production, the rehearsal process and their careers, and will respond to your questions. To reserve, call. (Free. Reservations are required.)

Tours
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Rep. Tours begin with a discussion of the company’s history and include construction techniques, costume making, props, and a tour of the backstage areas. To schedule your tour, call. (Free. Reservations are required.) Note: only 10-40 persons can be accommodated at one time. Sorry, the Rep cannot schedule tours immediately preceding school matinees.

1. Select the performance or activity you wish to attend.
2. Call the Education Sales Office to place your order.
3. When you receive your letter of agreement, mail payments to Missouri Repertory Theatre, Attention: Education Sales Department.
